Sanctus, Sable and Salt in 1992

In1979 when I bought my first bloodhound, Henry and Bobbie Edwards required the names of puppies to start "Sa"
He became WTCh Sanguine Sanft.
Although I didn't buy another Sanguine Bloodhound, at eighteen months I provided a home for a bitch similar lines to Sanft's father.
Since the litter had not been registered, the Kennel; Club accepted the name Sable of Sanft.
Sable took to hunting the clean boot, and rose through the stakes at Kennel Club Bloodhound Trials, achieving Certificate of Merit in the Senior Stake.
Later when a breeder needed to rehome a PBGV, she was called Salt.
Salt also took to hunting the clean boot, but there were no suitable trials for her.
Salt surprised a few die-hard "bloodhounds have the best nose" aficionados at training days though ;-)
Sanctus is on the left, and providing me with a line from two blanket blacks:
Ch. Abingerwood Zeus, and my favourite current trials hound then,
Weatheroak Black Bess, through the Brumbies D-Litter.
