Until December 2015 I was a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeders Scheme [ABS], but I no longer subscribe.
Questions specifically about ABS membership can be addressed in Comments here..
As a member of both the Association of Bloodhound Breeders and The Bloodhound Club, I abide by their code of ethics which predates that imposed by the Kennel Club.
The Kennel Club's Standard Operating Procedure [SOP] does not allow a litter to be advertised on their website until puppy names are registered.
I prefer prospective owners to be involved in choosing the name of the bloodhound, and for us to decide whether the KC registration should include endorsement for that particular puppy owner combination. The application for KC registration requires those to be stated in advance.
